Meet Sharmayne

LIFE COACH | EDUCATOR | FACILITATOR

Dr. Sharmayne Jenkins is a Life Coach, Educator, Facilitator, Lecturer, and Speaker with a deep-rooted passion for empowering individuals and transforming organizational cultures.

Very early in her teaching career at CUNY-York College, Dr. Jenkins recognized a gap between students' aspirations, confidence, and practical skills. This realization led her to create the "Personal Growth" course, blending psychological theories with life coaching, significantly impacting both students' and colleagues' approaches to improving student capacity but helping them examine the disempowering mindsets and pathologies that were roadblocks to their advancement.

With a diverse background spanning thirty years as a business owner, fifteen years as an adjunct psychology lecturer, and an international business development team educator, Dr. Jenkins effectively merges her expertise in psychology and business development. She is dedicated to fostering positive cultural shifts within schools and corporate environments through mindset changes, courageous conversations, and social-emotional interventions.

Her career has been marked by notable recognitions, including being named one of the "Seven Life Coaches Every Black Woman Should Know" by ForHarriet.com, appearances on ABC's "Here and Now" and the Tom Joyner Morning Show, and collaborations with prestigious organizations like the New York Police Department and East Orange New Jersey School District. Additionally, her academic journey from CUNY, York College, through Hofstra University, to St. John Fisher University, where she earned her EdD in Executive Leadership, highlights her commitment to lifelong learning and leadership.

Dr. Jenkins's story is one of impactful teaching, insightful coaching, and continuous pursuit of creating nurturing and productive environments in both educational and corporate settings.
